About Shinola
This little 2 1/2″ tall bottle with a 2 1/2″ base was used for shoe polish. Clear with light iridescence. During World War II, Shinola became immortalized when a phrase ‘You don’t know s**t from Shinola “(meaning your weren’t too bright).
