Fishscale and Beads, Dugan

[column-half-1][/column-half-1][column-half-2][/column-half-2]

The pattern gets its name from the fishscale effect on the front while the back has a garland of beads–which can be seen in the close-up of the marigold plate on the right. Note also the sawtooth edge. Sometimes identified simply as Fishscales, or misidentified as Scales, a similar Westmoreland pattern. The biggest problem, however is that Dugan's Honeycomb and Beads is usually identified as this pattern, so some of the prices listed may well have been for Honeycomb and Beads. Crimped pieces will be Honeycomb and Beads as are banana dishes. Peach opal is rare in Fishscale and beads bowls; very rare in plates. Amethyst/purple is scarce in Fishscale and Beads. Marigold and white are almost certainly Fishscale and Beads.
