About Windflower

Two flower sprays in the center on a stippled background and ringed by a band of blocks. There is a large unpatterned area around the outer edge.

Flower sprays with tulip type flowers mirror each other in the stippled center of the pattern; they are surrounded by a lined ring. The edge is sawtoothed and all shapes are collar base. The bowls range in size from 7 1/2″ to 9″ and have several edge treatments, ruffled (6, 8 and 10), ice cream shape, and round. The exterior is plain. The plates range from 8″-9″. The one handled nappies are usually spade shaped and have a rayed band around the windflowers in the interior. The original mold drawing was found 10 years after the 1931 fire closed the plant in Indiana, PA.
