Orange Peel, Westmoreland

[column-third-1][/column-third-1][column-third-2][/column-third-2][column-third-3] [/column-third-3]

The name says it all; pieces appear to have thin overlays of orange peel (complete with stippling) extending from bottom to top. Shown with the punch bowl are custard cups; the punch cups do not have the little ears. On the right is a sherbet in green. Both the set and the sherbet are in private collections.
Note: the similarity to Westmoreland's Fruit Salad. Above is a amethyst compote whimsey flattened from a sherbet sold in 2012 for $50. Photo courtesy of Seeck Auctions.
