About Triands

Triands was made by a German company that produced carnival glass starting about 1921. There are several shapes, but marigold seems to be the only color reported. The original manufacturers name for the pattern is Niobe. In marigold available shapes are bowls, a covered cheese dish, plates, a table set (open sugar which doubles as a compote or the base for a 2 piece fruit bowl), and 2 styles of vases. The cylinder vase has a flat ground base, is between 8-9 1/2″ tall and has a scalloped smooth edged top. The celery vase is about 6″ tall with a domed base that flares out to a smooth edged scalloped top.
