About Dugan Single Flower
This pattern is frequently confused with Dugan’s Single Flower Framed, but they are NOT the same pattern and are not variants of each other: they are distinctly different. Single flower has an unpatterned, plain interior, a marie with 3 open flowers and 9 leaves, and the exterior pattern with 3 groups of 2 fully open five-petal flowers on wavy stems with two buds and 4 interspersed leaves.
The key factors are:
-Plain interior
-3 flowers in the marie
-Wavy stems on the flowers

The other pattern (Single Flower Framed) has a rayed (sometimes called smooth rays) interior, frame motif in the marie and straight stems on the flowers.
To quickly ID your Dugan back pattern, check this (see duganback).

Found in handled baskets and bowls measuring around 9″, the edge treatments of the bowls are tri-cornered, ruffled, crimped and 3n1. Because the interior is plain you will frequently find these with a factory painted floral pattern on the inside.
