Taffeta Lustre, Fostoria
Year(s) of Production: Circa 1916
Pattern Description: Unpatterned short candlesticks with a large disc above the base.
Fostoria made very small amounts of iridized glass, which make any examples difficult to find. There is an old Fostoria catalog that shows candlesticks with an 11″ bowl. The same catalog mentioned that they came in other colors, amber, blue, green, crystal and orchid. The candlestick sizes came in 2″, 4″, 6″ and 12″ tall. A wall pocket in this pattern is also known. The iridescence is heavy and rich.
