Made by Crown Crystal of Australia, these large and small bowls are primarily found in dark (amethyst) carnival glass and to a lesser extent marigold. The large bowls are typically 9 to 10 inches across and have 16 ruffles. The small bowls are about 5 to 6 inches across and have 12 ruffles. All have a sawtooth edge and a plain collar base. The Kangaroo buck is easy to identify: it is only on the large bowls, does NOT have a branch under its feet and is larger than the doe (the buck is about 2 1/16″ all while the doe is just under 1 1/2″). The doe will have a branch under her feet (and is the only choice on the sauce/nappy bowls). [see buck-doe] The exterior pattern on the large bowls is Fern and Wattle or plain, the sauce/nappy exterior is plain.
