Not often seen. This is an intaglio design (the grapes and cherries are cut into the exterior, giving a raised look when viewed from the top). The interior is plain. Named by Marion Hartung, some attribute this pattern to Northwood, others to Sowerby. This marigold example is about 8 inches wide. Such pieces sell for $25 to $30.
