Feathered Rays, Fenton

[column-third-1][/column-third-1][column-third-2][/column-third-2][column-third-3][/column-third-3]

Little is known about this very scarce pattern, it appears to be Fenton's Stippled Rays pattern with the smooth rays replaced with rays consisting of v-shaped arrows that contain of a sort of bow with a star type center. An examination of an 8 inch Stippled Rays reveals that there are 54 rays (half of them stippled). This example, sent in by Dick Betker, also has 54 rays (half stippled, half with the feathered rays).

The only reported examples are in green, ruffled and have a plain back.
